Disappointed Empem Dacosta cries out after contract termination by Kotoko

Defender Empem Dacosta has expressed his disappointment following the termination of his contract by Asante Kotoko.
Dacosta joined the Porcupine Warriors from Karela United prior to the club’s participation in last season’s CAF Champions League under the tutelage of coach Kjetil Zachariassen.
He walked straight into the Porcupine Warriors’ first-team although they could not progress to the group stage of the inter-club competition.
He maintained his regular position in coach Maxwell Konadu’s plans. But was dropped after he picked a needless red card in the truncated Ghana Premier League clash against Berekum Chelsea.

Dacosta was recently linked with a move to Legon Cities after Maxwell Konadu told him that he is no more in his scheme of plans but the deal hit a snag.
The versatile defender was hoping to get another chance to prove his worth but that could not happen as he had to leave following the cancellation of his contract.
“I’m not perturbed by Kotoko’s decision to terminate my contract because there are many who sought for this opportunity I had, I will focus on what is ahead of me,” he told Kumasi 104.1 FM.
He stressed his love for the club despite his short stay.
“I have always loved the club and I never disappointed anytime I was called to duty. I will never give up, this is my profession and I believe there are many opportunities elsewhere.
“I want to emphasize that, my contract was not terminated on performance basis, the records are there to prove it but I believe it is the will of God, someday the truth will be revealed.
“I thank all the fans for the support they gave me,” he ended.
