Midfielder Samuel Appiah is on the verge of signing for Asante Kotoko ahead of the 2020/2021 campaign.
The Medeama SC right-back had a successful stint in the truncated Ghana Premier League which caught the eye of coach Maxwell Konadu.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of the Yellow and Mauves James Essilfie, an agreement has been reached between the two parties and announcement will be made soon.
“kotoko’s negotiations with us for Appiah was very fruitful and I need to commend them for that, ” Essilfie told Kumasi-based Pure FM.
“He wants to go back to Kumasi and enjoy a new challenge and we can’t deny him that opportunity.
” As a result, since our demand has been met by Kotoko the move is almost done, ” he added.
Footydreamsgh.com understand that the Porcupine Warriors regular right-back Christopher Nettey is expected to travel to Belgium for trials although it is yet to be approved.
If the deal is finalised, Appiah will be playing in the 2020-21 Caf Champions League.
