The Black Stars B forward has rejected suggestions to play in the Ghana Premier League again

Manager of striker Shafiu Mumuni, Samuel Ebo Kwaito has disclosed that the player is not interested in joining a Ghanaian club ahead of the 2020-21 football season.

The 25-year-old parted ways with AshantiGold following the expiration of his contract in July. Earlier this year, he underwent trials at Romanian side CFR Cluj but could not secure a deal and has since been in Ghana.

He has heavily linked with Asante Kotoko and Ebo Kwaito revealed that he had discussions with Maxwell Konadu and Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah. However, no decision has been reached.

On Wednesday, Shafiu Mumuni was reported to have signed for Dreams FC but he debunked joining them.

Ebo Kwaito insists the player is not ready to play another season in Ghana as there are several suitors from Europe.

“Shafiu Mumuni has no motivation to play in Ghana, he has lost interest in the local league after winning all he could with AshantiGold, ” Samuel Ebo Kwaito, manager of Shafiu Mumuni told Oyerepa 100.7FM.

“Have spoken to Maxwell Konadu and met Nana Yaw Amponsah, and have told him the player will travel abroad for now. Hearts of Oak and Aduana are all interested in him but have told them same.

“The options are Europe ,Asia and in the unlikely event that these doesn’t work, then we look at the local scene but that will be a club bigger than AshantiGold and can meet the financial demands, ” he added.
