The former AC Milan midfielder believes that Spalletti remains the best among the Managers he has worked with in his entire illustrious career.
“I had a lot, he is one but when I was in Udinese I had one manager who is called Luciano Spalletti. We spent a bit of time together so he managed to teach me the way to play and whatever I had to do so I had time to learn from him,” he said on South African radio station Metro FM.
He also made an interesting comparison between Spalletti and Mourinho who he also worked with at Inter Milan.
“So I will say him, but then with Morinho, he just wants you ready. At Inter Milan you don’t have much time because you play the League, Cup match and then the Champions League so there is no time for you to be on the pitch and learn,” he added.
“But when I was at Udinese we had like five, six or seven days to learn then you have to play so you have time to learn so before I got to Mourinho I was ready.”
