Ebusua Dwarfs coach Ernest Thompson has taken a swipe at referee Joshua Samadji after he awarded what he describes as ” dubious penalty” against his side in their 2-0 defeat at Techiman Eleven Wonders on Friday.
The two sides met on matchday two of the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League at the Nana Ameyaw Park.
The referee pointed to the spot kick over a penalty claim which was eventually converted by Tetteh Nortey for the first goal on the afternoon.
But television replays shows the ball did not hit the hand of the Dwarfs defender despite been closed to the action.
Many who watched the game have expressed their disappointment about the decision of the referee.
And Dwarfs coach Ernest Thompson has expressed his dissatisfaction about the performance of the referee.
“This level of officiating is not allowed. Its shocking and unbelievable,” he fumed. “We had similar kinds of calls but he ignored.
“What kind of officiating is this?? he quizzed in anger. “Officiating affected the performance of my boys.
“He gave my boy a yelloIt’sard for that dubious penalty call and subsequently sent him for a second card
“He took a red card. NO! NO! We have to up our game on officiating.
“It’s terrible performance from the referee.
“Last year’ we came here and same thing happened. It’s bad. I complained about officiating before the game and here we are.”
Prince Okraku secured Wonders second goal on the day.
