Ghana is still winless in the competition after losing to Mexico on the first day and losing 1-0 to Indonesia today at the Jules Ladoumegue Stadium.
Raka Cahyana’s goal in the 58th minute was enough to give Indonesia all the points they needed to keep their chances alive of reaching the Tournoi Maurice Revello semi-finals in 2022.
In the opening minutes, Ghana’s U20 team came close to scoring through Kwabena Gogoe, but his header was saved by the woodwork.
The excellent second-half performance of the Indonesia U19 team gave them the advantage against Ghana, allowing Raka Cahyana to score the game’s sole goal just before the hour mark.
Ghana will now play Venezuela in their last Group B match before returning home to the West African country following a terrible tournament.
