Ashanti Regional Inter-school Soccer Qualifiers: Day 2 wrap-up: T.I AMASS-Kumasi, OKESS, OWASS, Asanteman and others advance to round of 32

Record holders Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School (OKESS) progressed to the knockout stage of the 2023 Ashanti Regional Inter-school and College Boys’ Soccer Competition following an impressive display in the ongoing qualifiers on Friday, June 30, 2023.

OKESS topped Group 9 with 9 points. They started the day with a 2-1 win over J.A. Kuffour SHS before mauling Effiduase Sec. Tech 5-0. The last game saw OKESS beat Achinakrom SHS 2-0 to secure three wins out of three.

T.I. Amass clinched the slot in Group 12 after picking up three wins from three games. They beat St. Sebastian 3-0 in their first game before picking up a 2-0 win against Afigyaman SHS. The last game was also 3-0 in favour of T. I. AMASS against St. Joseph Ahwiren.

Asante Kotoko youngster Rocky Dwamena scored four goals, providing one assist for T.I AMASS in the three games they played.

Elsewhere at the KNUST school park, Asanteman won all three matches to qualify for the round of 32.

Other schools that qualified are Bodomase SHS, Okomfo Anokye SHS, Opoku Ware School, and Dwamena Akenten SHS.
