Board member of Accra Hearts Of Oak Alhaji Akambi believes they lost the game against Wydad Athletic Club because the team were not up to the best on the field.
Hearts of Oak on Sunday were disgraced by WAC of Morocco by conceding 6-1 at Stade Mohammed V stadium in Morocco in the CAF Champions League final preliminary round second leg.
“We unfortunately lost the game by that margin. WAC deserve to win the game, , ” he told kumasi Light FM.
“Our players were playing like they haven’t played football before”
Heart of Oak will now participate in the CAF confideration cup after being eliminated by WAC in that defeat.
