Inter Allies succumbed to Legon Cities at the Accra Sports Stadium – 2020/21 Ghana Premier League match week 28 clash.
Cephas Doku’s second-half goal did the magic for the home team as they held firm to claim all the three maximum points on Monday evening.
There was no change from the Inter Allies team that beat Medeama SC 3-0 at the Theatre Dreams in Dawu in their last league game.
The relegation-rapped side had a lot of confidence going into the game and settled quickly which gave them opportunities in the early embers of the match.
Despite pushing for the opener, both sides failed to shake the back of the net and the first department of the game ended goalless.
The hosts went ahead, twelve minutes after recess.
Cephas Doku headed past Rashid Sulemana after a long cross was sent in.
Even though Alleles pushed for the equalizer, the back of the net eluded them.
Allies kept pushing and created some decent chances but failed to penetrate their back four.
The win lifts the Royals to the 9th position with 38 points while Inter Allies remain at the bottom.
