The 2016 MTN FA CUP best player completed a three-year deal with the Obuasi-based club Wednesday afternoon understanding a successful medicals at the Dr. Asafo Adjei Hospital in Kumasi.
Speaking to Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM after penning the deal, Yaw Arnol disclosed that, he was also on the radar of Aduana Stars.
‘Both Aduana and Kotoko showed interest but with Kotoko,Bechem United was waiting for further discussions until we heard they can’t purchase players per Otumfuo’s directives so had no choice but to join AshantiGold,” he told Oyerepa FM.
Arnol rejoined Bechem from Spanish second-tier side CF Fuenlabrada after a two-year spell in 2019.
The 22-year-old joined the Spanish side in 2017 after an outstanding performance in the 2015/2016 campaign.
Arnol is expected to play an essential role for the Miners in the Ghana Premier League and CAF Confederation Cup next season.
The former Ghana U17 player has been in the books of the Porcupine Warriors for sometime now but has ended up in Obuasi where he will plying his trade for the next three years.
