The 48-year-old is expected to nurture talents in the Shama District of the Western Region of Ghana.
Hendricks played for Asante Kotoko from 1999-2005, joining from Sekondi Wise Fighters. He thus, worked under many coaches.
Speaking to Skyy Power FM after his appointment, the former Asante Kotoko captain said he will like to adopt the coaching methods of former Kotoko and Ashanti Gold trainer Bashir Hayford.
“I met a lot of coaches, but one coach I enjoyed working with is Ernst Middendorp. I have also worked under a lot of coaches (as a player I worked with) the likes of David Duncan, Coach (Abdul) Razak, and Bashir Hayford,” he told Skyy Power FM.

“I will prefer to tap into the coaching methods of Bashir Hayford. He (Bashir Hayford) is someone I have a lifelong respect for.
“How a coach communicates makes the job easy for a player on the pitch. If a coach is unable to have a cordial relationship with his players, they can sabotage you.
“In Ghana, I want to use Bashir Hayford’s strategy,” he reiterated.
Hendricks was part of the Kotoko team that lost in the 2002 Caf Cup Winners Cup and 2004 CAF Confederation Cup to WAC of Morocco and Hearts Of Oak respectively.
