U-20 Afcon: Ghana to face Gambia in semis
1 min readThe Black Satellites of Ghana will lock horns with Gambia in the semifinals of the ongoing 2021 Total Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) in Mauritania.
Ghana on Thursday evening defeated Cameroon 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 stalemate in extra time, the game had ended scoreless in 90 minutes.
Gambia on the other hand secured a place in the semifinals following an emphatic 3-0 victory over Central Republic of Africa on Friday night.
The two West Africa countries met in the final Group C contest with Gambia winning the game 2-1.
Ghana will be hoping to clinch their 4th Afcon trophy.
The semifinal clash is set to take place at the Olympic stadium inthe Nouakchott on Monday, March 1, 2021, at 16:00 GMT.
The other semi-final will see Uganda clash with Tunisia.
