Suspended Patrick Asmah issues apology to Kotoko’s technical team

Suspended Asante Kotoko left-back, Patrick Asmah has written three separate letters to apologize to the hierarchy of the club about the incident that led to his suspension, according reports monitored on Opemsou FM.

According to the report, Asmah has dispatched the letters to the Technical Team, the Playing body and the Management of the Porcupine Warriors.

The ex-Atalanta defender was asked to stay away from the club for the rest of the season following a verbal exchanges with Coach Prosper Ogum, where he accused the ex-WAFA trainer of being unfair.

The 26-year-old came off the bench in the 73rd minute to replace Ibrahim Imoro as he featured in his 10th Ghana Premier League appearance of the season in their 1-3 loss to Legon Cities in Kumasi after which he was suspended.

It would be recalled that in a post-match interview with Startimes, Coach Prosper Ogum criticized Asmah for his tackle on Ronald Frimpong in the 18-yard box, which resulted in a penalty for RTU in the GPL match-day 25 match, which Kotoko lost 2-1 in Tamale.

According to reports, the defender was not happy with it as it fueled his action.
