RTU star David Abagna returns to group training after two months

Real Tamale United’s mercurial midfielder David Abagna has joined his colleagues at training as he nears full recovery, Footydreamsgh.com can exclusively report.

Abagna sustained a toe injury during training at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium annex on Thursday, January 13, 2022 during the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.

He has joined the squad 2 weeks earlier than the stipulated time but might not feature against Asante Kotoko next weekend the his side take on the league leaders at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.

It is highly possible he could feature for the Premier League returnees in their matchweek 26 fixture against Elmina Sharks.

David Abagna is one of the five home based players who were included in the squad for the AFCON squad.

He scored 8 goals for Real Tamale United in nine games before departing for the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
