MTN FA Cup: King Faisal beat Aduana Stars on penalties to set up semi-final clash with Nsoatreman

King Faisal FC progressed to the next round of the MTN FA Cup on Sunday by defeating Aduana Stars in a penalty shootout at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.

Despite Aduana’s early dominance, they only managed to score once in the 45th minute through Anokye Badu.

Five minutes into the second half, King Faisal’s Abdul Latif equalized from a penalty kick after Baba Yahaya was fouled by Bright Enchil.

Aduana Stars regained their lead with a goal by Frank Owusu, making it 2-1.

King Faisal fought back and equalized again in the 78th minute through Benjamin Bature, forcing the game into extra time.

Although Aduana Stars came close to winning in the 107th minute, Abdul Jabaal made a crucial save.

In the penalty shootout, goalkeeper Abdul Jabaal Adam was the hero as he saved two penalties, helping King Faisal win 3-1 and secure a place in the semifinals against Nsoatreman.
