Midfielder Sulley Muniru signs 10-month deal with FC Minsk
1 min readSulley Muniru has joined Belarusian Premier League side FC Minsk, after mutually parting ways with Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko SC.
The 28-year-old midfielder signed a free-agent contract that will keep him until December 2021.

The FC Minsk Stadium outfit announced the signing of the Ghanaian Friday morning:
“The next recruit of FC Minsk is 28-year-old Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muniru.

“The professional career of this footballer started in 2013 – in the Romanian “Cluj”. Two years later, a change of employment registration followed, but within the country: Muniru signed a contract with Steaua Bucharest, in which he won the 2015/16 national Cup. Later he played for the Portuguese Tondela, the Turkish Yeni Malatyaspor, the Belarusian Dinamo from Minsk, the Russian Tambov and the Ghanaian Asante Kotoko.
“Welcome to the Citizens, Sulley!,” read a publication on the club’s official website.
It is a return to Belarusian football for Muniru – the younger brother of ex-Ghana and inter Milan star Sulley Muntari. He had a brief spell – almost five months – with city rivals Dinamo Minsk in 2019.
