Match Report: Hearts of Oak’s winless run continue as Aduana Stars steal point in Accra

Hearts of Oak failed to win their third match in the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League campaign after a dull stalemate with Aduana Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The Phobians finished last season as Champions of the Ghana Premier League but have not played as champions since the new campaign commenced.
On the opening weekend of the season, the team uncharacteristically drew goalless with Legon Cities FC at the Accra Sports Stadium and were held to a 1-1 draw by WAFA SC in Sogakope.
Today at the Accra Sports Stadium, the Phobians were involved in a tough game when they welcomed Aduana Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The defending champions were confident of picking their first maximum points of the season but Aduana, who has also been poor so far had other plans.
Kofi Kordzi on the 9th-minute shot the home side in front and led the first half after dominating play.
After the break, Aduana kept pushing for the equalized until they had it in the 79th-minute through Bright Adjei from the spot to end in a 1-1 draw.
The result leaves Hearts of Oak on the 11th position with 3 points with Aduana also sitting on the 14th position with 2 points.
Hearts will have another herculean task next weekend when they travel to Obuasi to face Ashantigold with Aduana also hosting RTU in Dormaa.
