Asante Kotoko board chairman, Dr. Kwame Kyei believes the Ghanaian giants will win the Caf Champions League one day.
The Porcupine Warriors emerged winners of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League and will be representing Ghana once again on the continent.
Kotoko have been poor since winning an African trophy in 1983 despite playing two final in the Caf Confederation Cup in 2002 and 2004.
But the head of the board is optimistic the side will do well in this year’s campaign, saying they believe they will claim Africa’s biggest prize one day.
“We can’t deny them from participating in Africa. The board will meet to find means to aid them to participate, ” he told Kumasi-based Akoma FM
“We only pray that we do well. I can’t predict how we will fare in the tournament but in everything you do, with patience and tenacity, you can get to your destination.
“Even if we fail to win it, I know for sure that one day with God on our side, Kotoko will win the Champions League.”
