Kotoko return to Ghana from Sudan after Caf Champions League no show

Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have touched down in Ghana after failing to progress to the group stage of the 2020-21 CAF Champions League, having technically lost to Al-Hilal of Sudan.
The entire contingent of 40 made up of 22 players, Technical, and Management of the team landed safely at the Kotoka international airport at exactly 12 noon local time on Friday.
The team is expected to move straight to camp to begjn preparations for their Ghana Premier League match-day 8 battle against Liberty Professionals in Accra on Monday.
They will wait for the results of the draw for the playoffs of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Porcupine Warriors failed to yo qualify to the group stage after failing to raise the required number of players for their 2nd leg preliminary round tie against Hilal.
7 players and 4 officials were reported to have contracted COVID-19 after a test was conducted.
