Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh reveals why he made ZERO substitutions against Aduana

Prosper Narteh Ogum stood by his decision not to utilise any substitutes as Asante Kotoko played out 1-1 drawn game with Aduana Stars on Sunday afternoon.
Franck Etouga scored the opener and missed two penalty kicks in the second half before Bright Adjei equalised for the visitors few seconds to end proceedings.
The former WAFA boss wrote himself in the history books as it was the first time a sub had not been made since the league started this season.
Despite struggling to find the winner, though, Ogum elected to leave all seven substitutes on the bench.
But the Porcupines boss was content with the way the game was panning out, along with the performances of the individuals on the pitch.
“Sometimes, you can do a change for tactical reasons, and sometimes it could be for personnel; you just want a player to get playing time,” he said after the game.
“So assuming we scored the first and second spot-kick, we would have brought in some fresh legs and rest some other players”
“So tactically, they played well defensively and offensively. I also saw their energy level was high and I could see the determination in the faces of the players, that’s why I didn’t make any substitution” he added.
Asante Kotoko make a short trip to Obuasi to face Ashantigold in a matchday 29 fixture next weekend.
