1 min readKarela United have announced shoring up their squad for the 2020/21 season with the signings of four new players.
The Pride and Passion have been busy preparing for another go at the Ghana Premier League (GPL) title as they hope to improve upon their abysmal performance exhibited last season.
Karela United was languishing at the relegation zone before the 2019-20 Ghana Premier League was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Karela United, having to put behind the disappointment of last season, look ready to start afresh with offensive midfielder Godfred Adotey, lateral defender Augustine Randolf, goalkeeper Yaw Ansah and Obed Kofi Sam.
Adotey, who was earned a call-up in the second batch of 70 players invited by Coach Karim Zito to the Black Satellites camp joins the Anyinase-based club from lower-tier side Kumasi Desire FC.
Goalkeeper Yaw Ansah joins the side from fellow Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC whilst Obed Kofi Sam – who is a winger joined from Division One League side Sekondi Hasaacas.
The 2020/21 Ghana Premier League gets underway on November 13, 2020, with Karela United playing guests to Ashantigold SC at the Len Clay Sports Stadium.
