It’s normal to be under pressure when you play for Kotoko and Hearts are on top of the league – Annan

Asante Kotoko d captain, Felix Annan has revealed that playing for Asante Kotoko comes with pressure especially when their arch-rival Hearts Of Oak are on top of the league table.

The Porcupine Warriors surrendered their lead to the Phobians after their week 25 1-1 stalemate against WAFA at the Len Clay Stadium.

Hearts currently occupy the top spot after 27 rounds of matches with 49 points, two more than Kotoko, who are second.

Many connoisseurs of the game have tipped the Kumasi-based club to clinch the league with 7 matches to end the season.

Annan is hopeful he and his teammates can see out the season and win the title if they focus on their games.

“It’s normal to feel pressured when you play for Asante Kotoko and especially when your arch-rivals are top of the league log, the expectations are huge. We need to keep our focus and win the rest of the matches , we are not thinking about anyone, ” Felix Annan told Oyerepa FM.

Asante Kotoko will play as hosts to AshantiGold on match-day 28 of the Ghana Premier League in Obuasi this weekend while Hearts take on city rivals Great Olympics.
