In-form Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Frederick Asare suffers serious leg injury

Frederick Asare, the in-form goalkeeper of Asante Kotoko, has suffered a severe leg injury that may sideline him for the remainder of the current season.
The 23-year-old joined the Porcupine Warriors from Accra Lions before the start of the season and has been performing exceptionally well for the club. He has earned the admiration of many Kotoko fans and is even being preferred over first-choice goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim.
Unfortunately, Asare sustained the injury during a friendly match against Betenase FC at the Adako-Jachie training grounds earlier today. Despite Kotoko emerging victorious with a 3-2 scoreline, the match was overshadowed by Asare’s injury.
Solomon Sarfo Taylor continued his scoring form by finding the back of the net, along with Augustine Agyapong and captain Richard Boadu.
Asare, who started the game in goal, suffered a horrifying fracture to his leg and was immediately rushed to the hospital for rehabilitation.
Reports indicate that the injury appears to be serious, raising concerns that he may miss the upcoming match against Kotoku Royals on Monday and potentially remain out of action for the rest of the season.
However, the exact extent of the injury is yet to be determined.
