According to reports in local media, Accra Hearts of Oak is on the brink of appointing Rene Hiddink as their new Technical Director.
Hiddink, a retired football player, previously served as the assistant coach for the Maldives national team, and he brings a wealth of experience from managing various teams in the Netherlands, Rwanda, Madagascar, and the Maldives.
In preparation for the upcoming 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season, the club is making efforts to strengthen its technical team. As part of this restructuring, assistant coach David Ocloo has already departed, and there are speculations that former Black Stars winger, Laryea Kingston, might be appointed as the head coach.
Moreover, there are rumors of former Legon Cities and Black Stars goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda, possibly joining Hearts of Oak as the goalkeepers’ trainer.
Dauda, currently holding the position of Ghana U-20 goalkeepers trainer, would add valuable expertise to the club’s technical staff.
