Hearts of Oak mutually part ways with 'flop' striker Yassan Ouatching

Hearts of Oak have decided to terminate the contract of Yassan Ouatching, the Central African Republic striker, following a disappointing first season with the club.

Ouatching’s arrival was met with anticipation as he was unveiled as a new signing for the Phobians ahead of the 2022/23 season. He joined the team on a two-year contract after successfully completing his medical examinations.

However, despite the initial optimism, the 24-year-old international from the Central African Republic struggled to make an impact during his time at Hearts of Oak. In the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League, Ouatching made eleven appearances but failed to find the back of the net.

Hearts of Oak officially announced the termination of Ouatching’s contract through a post on their Facebook page. The club expressed a mutual agreement in parting ways with the striker and extended their best wishes for his future endeavors.

Prior to joining Hearts of Oak, Ouatching had previously played for Zwekapin United in Burma and Mohammedan SC in Bangladesh.

The Phobians finished the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season in 12th place, accumulating a total of 46 points from 34 matches.
