Annor Walker, the head coach of FC Samartex 1996, is highly confident that his team will emerge victorious over Asante Kotoko in their upcoming Ghana Premier League match this weekend.
The match, which is scheduled for match-week 22, will take place at Nsenkyire Park in Samreboi, where FC Samartex 1996 will host the Ghanaian powerhouse.
Walker has urged the fans of FC Samartex 1996 to show their support by creating a hostile atmosphere for the Porcupine Warriors. He has also assured them that his team will exhibit the same level of football they played against league leaders Aduana Stars and Great Olympics away from home. He believes that the goals against Kotoko will come early and has asked the fans to come early as well.
“I want to tell the fans to come in their numbers, because we are going to exhibit the football we played against league leaders Aduana Stars and Great Olympics away from home, and we will make them happy, like we have been doing.” Walker told Citi Sports
“[The fans] should come early, because the goals against Kotoko will come early.”
FC Samartex 1996 are coming into this fixture on the back of a goalless draw with Accra Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium.
However, they suffered a 2-1 loss to Asante Kotoko in the first round of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
