Former Asante Kotoko forward Maxwell Baakoh joins Al Madina

Former Asante Kotoko SC winger Maxwell Baakoh has been loaned out to Libyan top-flight side Al Madina SC.

The 25-year-old joins the Tripoli-based side from Egypt Premier League outfit Ceramica Cleopatra FC.

Baakoh has failed to command a starting place in Cleopatra since joining them in December 2020 after leaving Asante Kotoko on a free transfer.

He signed a two-year deal with the Egyptian outfit after failing to reach a new deal with the Porcupine Warriors.

He only managed two appearances in the Egyptian top-flight this season.

Baakoh will play for Al Madina for the second half of the Libya Premier League campaign as he search for game time.

Al Madina will make his signing permanent at the end of the season if he impresses.
