Ex-Black Stars defender Lee Addy trains with Hearts Of Oak

1 min read

Former Ghana defender, Lee Addy is training with Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak ahead of a possible return to the domestic league.

The 30-year-old has been training with the Phobians for some days now, and could ink a deal with the club should he impress the technical team headed by Kosta Papic.

Lee Addy got his name on the team sheet of Hearts of Oak in a friendly encounter against Division Two outfit Hope for Future FC at the Acquainas School Park on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.

Hearts thumped the lower-tier side 5 -0, with Isaac Mensah grabbing a hat-trick and Patrick Razak and Abednego Tetteh scoring the other two goals.

The ex-Berekum Chelsea player returned to the country last year after a stint in Ethiopia after the COVID-19 pandemic forced some Ghanaian players to plead for assistance back home.

He and 18 other players had to be airlifted home through the assistance of the FA and government.

Addy since his arrival in Ghana has shown interest in playing for any local club interested in acquiring his services.

Addy played for Zambian side Lusaka Dynamos and South Africa outfit Free State Stars before travelling to Ethiopia.

He has also had stints with Dinamo Zagreb, Red Star Belgrade, and Dalian Aerbian.
