DOL: GFA release details for Zone One playoff between Tamale City and Nsoatreman FC

The details for the 2021/22 Division One Zone One playoff between Tamale City and Nsoatreman have been released by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Tamale City and Nsoatreman were tied at the end of the regular season in Division One.After winning 1-0 at their respective home stadiums, they amassed 71 points and were even on head to head.

As part of the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) regulations, the two teams will compete in a playoff to determine which team will join Kotoku Royals and Samartex in the top flight.

The playoff will be played on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at the Accra Sports Stadium and will kick off at 3:00 pm GMT.

“Due to the number of points accumulated and being par at head-to-head from the two matches played between your clubs, Tamale City FC and Nsotreman FC at the end of the 2021/2022 league season, you are respectfully informed to honor a play-off match at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, 21st June, 2022 at 15:00Hrs to determine which club qualifiers to the Ghana Premier League,” a statement from the FA revealed.

“Kindly take note that there shall be extra time and possibly penalties to determine the winner should the scoreline end in a draw at the end of regular time,” the statement added.
