Asante Kotoko suffered defeat to New Generation football Academy at Adako Jachie on Wednesday.
The lower division side pip the Reds in a training friendly as the latter prepare ahead of crucial league tie against Great Olympics on Friday.
New Generation held on to their first-half lead with the porcupines failing to pull parity nor win the game.
Solomon Sarfo Taylor and Evans Adomako made an injury return in the training fixture and might be included in Barreto’s squad to face Olympics.
Also, Fabio Gama played full throttle although the Brazilian will miss Friday’s game due to cards accumulation.
On the sidelines, Midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh who was present could not feature as he has just begun individual sessions after four months of lay-off.
Meanwhile, Great Olympics brash aside McLean Select side in a friendly as the Dade lads prepare for the crunch match week 20 fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Asante Kotoko leads the league table with 34 points whereas the Olympics sits a point beneath the Reds.
