An Accra High Court Financial Division 2 have dismissed striker Emmanuel Clottey’s case against former club Asante Kotoko and has subsequently been awarded a cost of GH¢ 5,000.

Clottey took the Porcupine Warriors to court in August 2019 and prayed the court to order Kotoko to pay the $180,000 fine which was important on him by FIFA after breaching his contract with Tunisian giants Esperance in 2015.

He also wanted the court to order Kotoko pay the salaries and allowances he would have received within the period of his ban by FIFA.

Clottey signed for Asante Kotoko in 2015 but had his status challenged at FIFA by Esperance for contract breaches.

Esperance claimed they had a running contract with the player at the time he signed for the Porcupine Warriors and were announced winners of the case after Kotoko submitted their defense.

It will be recalled that the Ghana Premier League giants recently reached a deal with Esperance to settle the debt which rose to $240,000.
