CAF CL: WAC coach Walid Regragui tests positive for COVID-19 ahead of Hearts of Oak clash
1 min readWydad Casablanca of Morocco head coach Walid Regragui is expected to miss his side’s crucial CAF Champions League encounter with Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday after contracting the novel Coronavirus disease.
According to sources in the North African country, the experienced trainer was diagnosed as having the virus during his side’s mandatory screening on Friday before their departure to Accra.
Walid who will not travel to Ghana for the all-important fixture is currently being put in isolation.
He will thus not fly with his team to Accra as his assistant will take over for the epic game.
WAC are expected to arrive in Ghana on Friday night with Air Maroc ahead of Sunday’s game.
