Caf CC: Kotoko name 21-man squad for ES Sétif showdown

Asante Kotoko Coach, Johnson Smith has named a 21-man squad for their CAF Confederation Cup final play-off first leg tie against Algerian giants, E.S Sétif.

The two sides battle in a two-legged encounter for a slot in the group stage.

The Porcupines arrived in Accra on Friday, February 12, 2021, and trained at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday ahead of the crucial game on Sunday.

Sétif on the other hand, arrived in Ghana on Friday afternoon with a chatered flight.

Coach Johnson Smith’s side includes enterprising forward Kwame Opoku, Fabio Gama and Felix Annan – who has returned from an injury.

Kwame Adom Frimpong, who missed the club’s recent Premier League games due to injury make a return to the team for the all-important clash.

Augustine Okrah also makes the squad for the first time this season in Africa after returning from Morocco.

Goalkeepers: Kwame Baah, Felix Annan, Razak Abalora.

Defenders: Christopher Nettey, Samuel Frimpong, Ibrahim Imoro, Abdul Ganiu, Yusif Mubarik, Habib Mohammed, Andrews Appau, Wahab Adams.

Midfielders: Emmanuel Sarkodie, Adom Frimpong, Godfred Asiamah, Emmanuel Gyamfi, Mudasiru Salifu, Fabio Gama, Latif Anabila, Augustine Okrah

Forwards: Kwame Opoku, Naby Keita.
