Brazilian striker Michael Vinicius to wear No. 77 shirt at Asante Kotoko

Brazilian striker Michael Vinicius has been handed the number 77 jersey at Asante Kotoko for the 2020/2021 football season.

The Ghana Premier League giants signed the former Fluminense striker in the second transfer window to strengthen its squad for the second round of the Ghana Premier League on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Announcing their 18-man squad to face Bechem United in the match-day 16 outstanding fixture at Obuasi confirmed that Vinicius will wear the Number 77 jersey.

The 28-year-old arrived at the club with a lot of expectations and will be key for the Porcupines’ 2020/2021 premier league title ambitions.

It remains to be seen if head coach Mariano Baretto would throw in the striker earlier than expected after he said the former Fluminense forward who has been inactive for a while will need time to be ready for action.
