BOMBSHELL: Dwarfs Coach accuses Samartex of bribery, match-fixing

Ebusua Dwarfs Coach Kuuku Dadzie has levelled a bribery and match-fixing allegation against Division One League club, FC Samartex 1996, claiming the Zone 2 leaders have been influencing referees to officiate games in their favor.
According to the former Black Stars and Sekondi Hasaacas defender, his club Ebusua Dwarfs has sent some video evidence to the Ghana FA to buttress their match-fixing claims against Samartex but says the Cape Coast based club is yet to receive any response from the nation’s football governing body.
FC Samartex 1996 is currently sitting at the top of Zone 2 in the Ghana Division One League after 21 match days with 50 points while their closest contender Ebusua Dwarfs occupy the second spot with 40 points.

Both clubs are in a tight race to secure qualification for next season’s Ghana Premier League from Zone. Dwarfs Coach Dadzie suspects Samartex Timber and Plywood Company is heavily financing the bribery of referees to ensure FC Samartex 1996 progresses to the domestic top flight.
“Things are tough in Zone 2. It seems the referees are making deliberate mistakes to favour Samartex. There is evidence though. We believe referees are favouring Samartex to qualify for the Premier League. We have sent certain videos to them (GFA) but I don’t know,” Kuuku Dadzie told Accra based Happy FM.
“We are in the second position so they know we are a threat to them. They are using timber money to influence officiating officials to even officiate games against Dwarfs. Samartex is run by a timber company,” the 1978 Africa Cup of Nations winner added.
Coach Kuuku Dadzie is expected to be invited by the Ghana FA Ethics Committee to defend with evidence the wild allegations of bribery and match-fixing against FC Samartex 1996, with the aim of saving the integrity of the local game, following the damaging effects of the Number 12 Football Documentary by Anas Aremeyaw Anas in 2018.
