Black Stars Management Committee storms National Mosque to seek Allah’s favour

President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt E.S Okraku has led a delegation from his office including the Black Stars Management Committee to the National Mosque for special prayers.

The prayers which took place at the Kanda National Mosque and was attended by many Islamic faithful was aimed at seeking Allah’s grace for Ghana Black Stars in next month’s FIFA Mundial.

It was blessed and graced by the National Chief Imam, His Eminence Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu.

Kurt Okraku after the great occasion wrote on his Facebook page:

“On Friday, May 15, 2026, I led the leadership of the Football Association and members of the Black Stars Management Committee to the National Mosque in Kanda, where we joined the National Chief Imam, His Eminence Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, in a solemn national Islamic prayer session held in support of the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup”

“The fatherly blessings and spiritual intercessions of the National Chief Imam remain a source of encouragement and strength to the team and the nation”

“I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to His Eminence and the Muslim community across Ghana for their unwavering prayers, support and commitment to the Black Stars and Ghana football. Your continuous spiritual backing inspires us as we work together to make our nation proud at the FIFA World Cup”.
