Ayipa can’t serve as Nsoatreman FC Head Coach in next season’s GPL

Nsoatreman FC Coach Boniface Ayipa cannot serve as the Head Trainer of the club in next season’s Ghana Premier League.
The former Hasaacas trainer holds a CAF License B certificate, which disqualifies him from sitting on the bench of a GPL club as Head Coach, based on a new GFA Coaching Convention.
The GFA Coaching Convention enjoins Ghana Premier League clubs to employ only License A holders for the Head Coach position while Division One League clubs stick to License B certificate holders.
Coach Ayipa has confirmed he’s prepared to work under a CAF License A Coach at the newly promoted GPL side next term.
“I have no problem working under another Coach and even if I had a License A certificate and management wanted me to be the Assistant Coach, I would be happy with that,” Ayipa told Accra based Happy FM.
“I have had my License B since 2015 and couldn’t get the License A in 2016 because I needed to work with the License B for at least 2 years. I’m waiting for GFA to organise another License A course.”
Coach Boniface Ayipa led Nsoatreman FC to qualify past Tamale City FC for the GPL on Tuesday after a 2-1 win in a hotly contested play-off.
Ayipa managed to record 22 wins, 8 draws and only 1 defeat in masterminding the qualification of Nsoatreman FC to their first ever appearance in the domestic top flight.
