Aduana Stars are on the look out for a new head coach after a poor performance in the 2021/22 football season.
The club according to sources will not renew head coach Felix Aboagye’s contract. The 46-year-old was appointed as an interim manager for the Ogya lads in March to oversee their remaining Premier League games.
The former Ghanaian international failed to impress the management of the club after going 14 games without a win in the just ended season. He again failed to reach the final of the MTN FA Cup after losing to Bechem United in the semi final.
However, seasoned sports journalist Sadick Adams ‘Sports Obama’ has hinted that the Ogya lads has targeted three coaches who could take over the club for next season.
The list surprisingly include head coach of Hearts of Oak Samuel Boadu who’s unhappy at the club. Aduana are believed to be studying his situation as they aim at building a solid technical team ahead of next season.
Others on the list is, Karela United head coach Bismark Kobi-Mensah who guided the Anyinase-based club to a top four finish in the just ended league season.
Last on the list is their former trainer, Cioaba Aristica. The Romanian has had two separate stints with Aduana and is best remembered for guiding the team to finish second in the 2015-16 season before joining Tanzanian side Azam FC.
Aduana Stars will soon make a final decision on who will succeed Felix Aboagye as head coach.
