Serge Eric Zeze, the midfielder for Asante Kotoko, holds a positive outlook on the club’s chances of securing the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League championship.
Although the Porcupines clinched the league title two seasons ago, their title defense was unsuccessful as they lost it to Medeama SC in the 2022/23 season. Despite the challenges faced in the previous campaign, Eric Zeze, who joined Asante Kotoko in August 2022, is confident that the club will regain the league title in the upcoming 2023/24 season.
Expressing his optimism in a video shared on social media, Eric Zeze stated, “This season, Asante Kotoko will take the Ghana League and win plenty trophies”, Eric Zeze said in a video posted on social media.
During the last season, Eric Zeze played a pivotal role for Asante Kotoko, contributing significantly despite the team not securing any trophies. The Ivorian midfielder netted three goals in 24 matches for Asante Kotoko throughout the season.
Asante Kotoko has already commenced their pre-season training at Beposo Park. As part of their efforts to reinforce the squad for the upcoming league campaign, the Ghanaian football powerhouse has officially acquired three new players: Yahaya Dawuni, a former Susubiribi Sporting Club defender, Nanabayin Amoah from Venomous Vipers, and midfielder Andrews Ntim Manu. Each of these signings has been secured on a three-year deal in preparation for the 2023/24 league season.
