‘Asante Kotoko will impress in Africa if…’ – BoD member Kwasi Osei Ofori

Board member of Asante Kotoko, Kwasi Osei Ofori is confident the club will replicate its current form in the CAF Champions League should they clinch the Premier League title.

The Porcupines have been impressive since the start of the 2021-22 season, winning 15, 7 draws and 3 defeats in 25 games, leading the Premier League table with 52 points with 9 matches to end the season.

Kotoko will return to the Champions League after missing the last edition should they win the league and Kwasi Osei Ofori believes the Reds will impress in Africa this time.

“It’s so obvious, everybody can see that now we are on course to win the GPL title. We will replicate our form in Africa and hopefully, we won’t disappoint,” he said in an interview with Akoma FM in Kumasi.

He further revealed that the club’s return to their favourite Baba Yara Stadium has played a major role to their success this term.

“The return to Baba Yara Stadium has been instrumental in our success this season as compared to last season where we played home away from home.”

“Now the Board of Kotoko is really working together as a team, we have a good management team and whatever support they need, the Board is providing.” He concluded.

Asante Kotoko lead the second-placed Bechem United 8 points and will host Legon Cities in Kumasi on Sunday.
