Asante Kotoko terminate Mohammed Alhassan’s contract

After just one season, Asante Kotoko SC is poised to part ways with defender Mohammed Alhassan due to his failure to meet the club’s performance expectations.

Alhassan, the former captain of Hearts of Oak, joined the Kumasi-based club in the second round of the 2022/23 season on a year and a half contract, following the termination of his contract with the Phobians.

Despite showing initial promise, Alhassan struggled to establish a regular starting position and fell short of making the desired impact on the team.

In a mutually agreeable decision, both parties have opted to explore new opportunities. Alhassan’s impending departure provides the club with the opportunity to reevaluate its defensive options and concentrate on constructing a competitive team for the forthcoming season.
