AFCON 2023 Qualifier: Five-star Black Stars trounce Madagascar in Cape Coast

The Black Stars of Ghana strolled to a comfortable 3-0 win against Madagascar in the 2023 Nations Cup qualifier on Wednesday night.
Mohammed Kudus had given the Black Stars the lead in the 53rd minute from Afena-Gyan’s pass after a barren first half.
Three minutes after, Felix Afena-Gyan added the second on the 53rd minute from Gideon Mensah’s assist.
Jordan Ayew who was brilliant throughout the game came close a couple of times but his efforts were either wide or hit a man.
Otto Addo, who had given debutant Antoine Semenyo his first cap for the team, introduced Osman Bukari.
Bukari made an instant mark on the team by scoring the important third to secure Ghana all three points.
The win takes Ghana on top of Group E same on points with Angola, who beat Central African Republic 2-1-0 in the other game.
The Black Stars will leave for Central African Republic for the second group game on Sunday.
