CONFIRMED : 7 players, 4 officials of Asante Kotoko test positive for COVID-19 ahead of Al-Hilal game

Seven players and four officials of Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have reportedly tested positive for Coronavirus disease ahead of their epic second leg clash of the second preliminary round of the 2020/21 CAF Champions League against Al-Hilal this afternoon.
A statement from Asante Kotoko in Sudan has confirmed that 7 players and four members of the technical and management team have contracted the novel disease which has rocked the world.
Asante Kotoko team, which include 22 players underwent a mandatory COVID-19 test on Wednesday.
Close source indicate that the management of Asante Kotoko and the Ghana Football Association leader of delegation, Nana Oduro Sarfo have decided to challenge the results of the Coronavirus tests.
It is not established yet if it could be Al-Hilal who are revenging what they allegedly said Kotoko did to them. An official of Hilal before their game in Accra alleged Kotoko had connived with the health officials to take two of their best players out citing they had COVID-19.
The Ghanaian giants are hopeful of overturning their 1-0 home loss to Al Hilal in Sudan to progress to the CAF Champions League group stages.
A second half strike from Vinny Bongonga handed Al Hilal all the needed points and an advantage ahead of the reverse leg tie over Asante Kotoko.
The match has been scheduled to kickoff at 13:00 GMT.
