Coach Otto Addo and his Ghana Black Stars men will demonstrate their readiness and preparedness for the 2026 FIFA World Cup when they take on Austria in Vienna today in an international friendly match.

The game forms part of the already agreed four trial matches aimed at testing the strength of the Black Stars before they make their fifth FIFA World Cup appearance.

Immediately after the Austria – Ghana encounter, captain Jordan Ayew and his teammates will shift attention to 2014 FIFA World Cup winners, Germany in Stuttgart on Monday, March 30, 2026.

Footydreamsgh.com can authoritatively confirm the players are in good shape in camp for the test ahead. All the players selected by Coach Otto Addo have reported to camp and are in high spirits to deliver success.

Strikers Inaki Williams and Brandon Thomas Asante could not join the team because of last minute injury concerns.

The Athletic Bilbao forward, Inaki who made his FIFA World Cup debut for Ghana in Qatar 2022 was replaced by Humburger SV striker Ransford Yeboah.

Ransford Yeboah’s has already had stints with Black Stars. He was part of the AFCON 2024 in Ivory Coast where he featured in the opening group game.

His return will definitely add value to the Black Stars attack especially at this stage where Manchester City striker Antoine Semenyo is boiling hot to face Austria.
