Brazilian playmaker Fabio Gama eyes Asante Kotoko return

Former Asante Kotoko midfielder, Fabio Gama, has conveyed his readiness to consider a return to Ghana, with a potential reunion with the Porcupine Warriors.
The agent representing the Brazilian midfielder has informed Kessben Sports that Gama’s association with Bahrain’s Al-Muharraq SC has officially concluded. During the 2022/2023 season, Gama embarked on a loan stint with Busaiteen Sports Club, during which he showcased an impressive performance, recording 8 goals and contributing 10 assists across 18 matches.
As stated in the agent’s formal communication, Gama has no intentions of extending his presence in the Bahraini league, thereby making himself available for prospective opportunities in the Ghanaian football landscape.
Reliable sources indicate that Gama is prepared to consider a comeback to Asante Kotoko, subject to the fulfillment of specific favorable conditions.
Upon the culmination of the 2021/22 football season, Gama parted ways with the ranks of the Ghana Premier League side due to the inability to secure a contract extension agreement with Kotoko.
This deadlock emerged as a result of Gama’s request for an augmented salary, a proposition that Kotoko chose not to accommodate, ultimately leading to a standstill in the contract negotiation process.
Across his tenure spanning two years at Asante Kotoko, Fabio Gama accomplished a total of five goals throughout 48 appearances.
