Bechem United captain, Kofi Agbesimah has reached Accra to finalize his medical evaluation for Hearts of Oak.
The appointment, slated for August 23, 2023, will see the dedicated defender undergoing a thorough medical examination at Hearts of Oak as a crucial step preceding his official signing with the team.
This imminent medical assessment for Kofi Agbesimah comes on the heels of successful negotiations between Hearts of Oak and Bechem United regarding his transfer.
Initially, Bechem United had positioned a transfer fee of GHC100,000 for the defender, yet Hearts of Oak held their ground at GHC50,000, a stance driven by Agbesimah’s mere month left on his existing contract.
According to insights from Mo Shaban, Kofi Agbesimah is poised to ink a two-year contract, with an option to potentially extend for an additional year.
His inclusion within the Hearts of Oak ranks stands to significantly fortify their defensive unit, a response to the exits of dependable defenders like Caleb Amankwah and Robert Addo.
Upon the conclusion of medical evaluations and the formal declaration, Kofi Agbesimah will join his soon-to-be teammates in the ongoing pre-season training at Pobiman in Accra.
Guided by the recently appointed Dutch coach Martin Koopman, now at the helm of the club, Kofi Agbesimah will play his part in readying the team for the forthcoming September kickoff of the new season.
