French Ligue 1 side, AS Monaco, has entered the competition to secure the signature of Ghanaian star Thomas Partey during the current transfer window.
The talented midfielder, who currently plays for Arsenal, has been subject to transfer rumors, and Monaco has emerged as a strong contender for his services.
Despite narrowly missing out on the Premier League title with Arsenal, Partey delivered excellent performances throughout the recent season.
While he played a vital role for the Gunners, his form suffered a decline towards the latter part of the season, resulting in him losing his starting position to Jorginho.
As a result, the 30-year-old midfielder has been linked with a potential departure from the North London club, as Arsenal considers finding a long-term successor, such as West Ham’s Declan Rice.
Although Partey has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, several European clubs have also expressed their interest, including the French side.
It is possible that despite having two more years remaining on his contract with Arsenal, the former Atletico Madrid star may be allowed to depart the club.
