Thomas Partey surprisingly misses out of English Premier League best XI nominations for 2022/23 season

Surprisingly, Arsenal and Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey was excluded from the nominations for the best eleven of the 2022/23 English Premier League season, despite being one of the best performing players in the league.

Partey played a key role in leading Arsenal to an unexpected title challenge, making 26 appearances for the Gunners and scoring in three of those games.

He also created eight chances, completed 87.4% of his passes, won 58% of his duels, won 61% of his tackles, and completed 76% of his dribbles.

Despite these impressive stats that have drawn comparisons with top players like Casemiro and Rodri, Partey was overlooked in the nominations for the team of the season, leaving many football fans surprised.

Other notable omissions from the team include Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United), Ben White (Arsenal), Manuel Akanji (Manchester City), David de Gea (Manchester United), Ivan Toney (Brentford), Nathan Ake (Manchester City), and David Raya (Brentford).
