Ibrahim Tanko invites former Hearts of Oak midfielder Salim Adams to face Algeria in U23 AFCON qualifier

Ghana U23 head coach, Ibrahim Tanko, has included FC Cincinnati 2 midfielder Salim Adams in his 25-man squad for the upcoming U23 AFCON qualifier against Algeria.

Although Adams, who is on loan from Hearts of Oak, is yet to feature in a senior game for his American-based club, he has played in all seven preseason matches for FC Cincinnati 2.

The Black Meteors will face Algeria in a home and away series on March 24 and March 28, respectively, with the winner securing a spot in the 2023 U23 ACON competition to be held in Morocco in June.

Ghana earned a 4-1 aggregate win over Mozambique in October to enter the Third Round of qualifying.
