Former Hasaacas Ladies midfielder Evelyn Badu has won two awards at the 2022 CAF Awards currently taking place in Morocco.

Evelyn Badu was named CAF Inter-club Women’s Player of the Year and CAF Women Young Player of the Year.

The 19-year old beat off competition from Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies duo Andile Dlamini and Bambanani Mbane to win the CAF Inter-club Women’s Player of the Year.

She also beat off competition from compatriot Doris Boaduwaa and Yasmine Zouhir of Morocco and AS St Etienne to win the CAF Women Young Player of the Year.

Evelyn Badu scooped the two awards after a splendid season with Hasaacas Ladies in the months under review (September 2021 to June 2022).

The youngster led the Doo Ladies win the Ghana Women’s Premier League title, FA Cup, WAFU Zone B Champions League and the Ghana Women’s Super Cup.

She also helped the team finish second in the maiden edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League in Egypt, scoring five goals to win the golden boot and the best player of the competition.

Evelyn Badu’s incredible display saw her secure a move to Norwegian outfit Avaldsnes IF.
